Study Abroad Program
Study Abroad with DMACC
DMACC currently offers two faculty-led study abroad opportunities: London and Belize.
London Program

Every spring, we offer the London program.
You'll start the semester with two weeks in Ankeny and then spend eight unforgettable weeks living with British families while earning 12 DMACC credits with London as your classroom.
Take classes with DMACC professors, explore world-class museums and historic sites, and immerse yourself in British culture through exclusive lectures and field trips.
Financial aid is available—don't miss this life-changing opportunity to study, travel, and grow in one of the world's most exciting cities!
Belize Program

Each May, we offer the Belize program.
In just 10 days, you'll explore the world's second-largest reef system, lush jungles, and mountain pine regions while earning 3 credits through GLS 200 (Global Studies: Central America). Immerse yourself in diverse cultures by connecting with Maya and Garifuna communities, then complete 5 weeks of online coursework to reflect on your transformative experiences.
This accessible program welcomes students of all ages and academic pathways—all that's needed is the ability to walk long distances, carry your luggage, and engage with an open mind!
DMACC partners with the University of Iowa to offer study abroad in Italy.
CIMBA Italy Program

Semester (12 weeks) or summer (4 weeks) programs in Pieve del Grappa, northern Italy; all-inclusive tuition: housing, meals, and cultural excursions included; credits transfer easily through University of Iowa partnership; site visits and company tours integrated into courses; ample independent travel opportunities throughout Italy and Europe; immersion experiences in local Italian community.
